Part of what separates many new Ford models for sale from the competition is their robust standard safety features. Many new Ford models come with a standard suite of safety features such as forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, just to name a few.

However, our favorite automaker here at Park City Ford isn’t content on only including some features as standard; they aim to add more features to bring drivers peace of mind both in the Bridgeport, CT area and across the country with a new safety suite.

The new safety suite is called the Ford CoPilot 360. In addition to providing vehicles with features like a forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking, they also want to include things like blind-spot warning, lane-keeping assist, and high-beam headlights to the menu of standard safety features.

This move to add more safety features as standard is also part of a voluntary initiative made by Ford automakers with both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) to make automatic emergency braking a standard feature across nearly all models by 2022.

We’re happy that Ford automakers are getting a head start on this promise and look forward to seeing what kind of new safety features they implement in current and upcoming models for sale.

Here at Park City Ford, we believe in safe driving, and while new Ford models offer plenty of safe and helpful features, there’s still a lot you can do to ensure your vehicle is safe and operating correctly. Be sure to visit us at 60 North Avenue for any and all Ford service and parts.
