- The first Ford vehicle the company ever sold was called the Ford “Model A”. The Model A had a 2-cylinder engine and a maximum speed of 30 miles per hour. It sold in 1903, for $850, to a man named Dr. Pfennig.
- The Ford logo, a blue oval with the brand’s name, was actually not introduced to the company until four years after the production of vehicles began. The designer, Childe Harold Willis, used Henry Ford’s signature as inspiration for the iconic logo’s font.
- Ford was responsible for creating one of the most iconic American vehicles when it debuted the Ford Mustang in 1964 at the New York World’s Fair. The car became so popular that a total of 94,000 toy mustangs were bought as Christmas presents that year. To this day, the Ford Mustang remains one of the most popular vehicles from the Ford brand.
